Rustic Charm

The Club at Black Rock offers ideal Idaho Golf Retreat

When peace and quite beckon, some Las Vegans travel to second homes at The Club at Black Rock, a tranquil golf community situated on LakeCoeur d’Alene in northwest Idaho.

The community sprawls across 650 acres and offers homeowners several real estate options. Custom lots start at $375,000, and homeowners can also choose between two furnished layouts in the Golf Cottages, starting at $975,000, and Village Homes, starting at $1.2 million.

However, its signature amenity is certainly the award-winning golf course, which was named Best New Private Course by Golf Digest in 2003. The 7,145-yard Jim Engh-designed layout features rolling hills, black-rock cliffs and panoramic views of the lake.

It will soon be joined by a Tom Weiskopf course, which is part of the community’s expansion project that will add several more golf facilities, including an 18-hole putting course, par-3 course and improved practice area.

In addition to the array of golf possibilities, the finished product will boast 726 home options, a 30,000 square-foot clubhouse, equestrian center, marina, activity center for children and concierge service.

The Golf Cottages and Village Homes offer contemporary luxury coupled with a rustic mountain style. Golf Cottages are two bedroom and two-and-a-half bath, and offer single and two-story floor plans ranging from 1,485 to 1,733 square feet.

Village Homes are much more spacious at 2,650 square feet and feature four master suites and four-and-a-half baths. Both are equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, king-sized beds, fireplaces, walk-in showers and plank hardwood floors.

The Club at Black Rock is 40 minutes from SpokaneInternationalAirport and is an ideal destination for numerous activities, including skiing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, rock climbing, horseback riding and –of course –golf.
